There are many people who don’t believe that God still heals today. This may be because of a personal experience or from wrong teaching.
It is very important to lay a strong Biblical foundation that healing is God’s will today. Jesus is the same yesterday, today and forever, and He is the Lord who heals us. He is still healing the sick today.
Romans 10:17 “So then faith comes by hearing, and hearing by the word of God.”
To have faith in healing, you must hear what the Word of God says about healing.
Jesus is both Savior (He forgives our sins) and Healer (He heals our sicknesses).
Psalm 103:1-3 “Bless the Lord, O my soul; And all that is within me, bless His holy name! Bless the Lord, O my soul, and forget not all His benefits: who forgives all your iniquities, who heals all your diseases.”
Hebrews 13:8 “Jesus Christ is the same yesterday, today and forever.”
We need to raise our expectation level!
Acts 3:1-7 “Now Peter and John went up together to the temple at the hour of prayer, the ninth hour. And a certain man lame from his mother’s womb was carried, whom they laid daily at the gate of the temple which is called Beautiful, to ask alms from those who entered the temple; who, seeing Peter and John about to go into the temple, asked for alms. And fixing his eyes on him, with John, Peter said, "Look at us." So he gave them his attention, expecting to receive something from them. Then Peter said, "Silver and gold I do not have, but what I do have I give you: In the name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth, rise up and walk." And he took him by the right hand and lifted him up, and immediately his feet and ankle bones received strength.”
Throughout the next few weeks I will dive deeper into why healing is God's will today and how to pray for the sick.
